This page covers the Laiffi website (laiffiapp.fi) only; the Laiffi app is covered by the Privacy Policy. The website sets no cookies at all: it stores one entry in your browser, and it can run one optional analytics component — only if you accept it.

Necessary storage

One entry is stored whichever way you answer. Without it the site would have to ask for your choice again on every page.

• What it is — a single entry called laiffi.consent in your browser's local storage, not a cookie.
• Why it exists — so the site remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics.
• What it contains — your answer, and nothing else. No identifier, no visit history, no profile.
• How long it stays — in your browser until you clear your browsing data. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
• What it is not used for — advertising, marketing or profiling. None of those exist on this site.

Optional analytics

The website can send a small amount of usage information so we can understand how the site is used and whether its download links work. It runs only with your explicit consent, and consent is our legal basis. Refusing costs you nothing: the whole site works exactly the same.

• Provider — PostHog, Inc., acting as our processor, on its European cloud with servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
• When it runs — only after you accept. Nothing is loaded, requested or sent before that.
• What is sent — a small, fixed set of events written by hand in our own code: that a page was viewed, and that a download link, a social link or the language switch was used.
• No recording — no session replay, no automatic capture of clicks or page content, no heatmaps, no surveys, no form capture. The site has no forms.
• No visitor identity — we never ask the provider to identify you, no visitor profile is created, and nothing is remembered between page loads: the provider holds what it needs in memory for the page you are on. No analytics cookie and no lasting visitor identifier is set.
• Not linked to your account — website events are kept separate from the Laiffi app and are never connected to a Laiffi account.
• No advertising — there are no advertising cookies, no advertising identifiers and no tracking across other sites.

Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time. The cookie settings on this site let you accept analytics if you rejected it, or turn it off again if you accepted. Turning it off stops collection immediately.

We will also state the limit plainly: because website analytics carries no visitor identifier, we cannot find events already collected in order to delete them individually — there is nothing to look them up by. They are removed when the retention period below ends.

How long data is kept

PostHog keeps analytics events for one year and then removes them. We do not currently have a way to set a shorter period there. The local-storage entry recording your choice stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data; you can remove it yourself at any time through your browser settings.
